Instead of do the shadow portrait I did this painting. It is a caricature-type portrait of an old lady. I normally try making things as realistic as possible but I thought it would be fun to do something like this. You could say it was slightly inspired by a Tim Burton styled cartoon.
Candy Painting :
This painting was done with watercolors and watercolor pencils. I enjoyed painting this a lot because of the medium and also the difficulty I had when making this look realistic. Enlarging things in a proportional manner was difficult for me, but I thin k I did well. Also creating the shadows was interesting because I used the complementary to do so.
This is a painting I did in acrylic paint, but first I applied texture medium to it to make certain parts of the painting stand out. I had a lot of fun doing this because it created a unique look for the painting. I think it almost imitates an oil painting, instead of acrylic.
